Don Jesus operates his original place at 8th and Decatur and also another one up in Arvada (which I haven't been to). The place in Denver is just like a slice of Mexico brought north. Lovely people, family atmosphere, and healthy-sized portions at reasonable prices makes this place deservingly popular. Not fancy or pretentious at all. Don Jesus gives you excellent value for your money. A cheeseburger and fries was as much or more than I could eat for lunch. Served with a couple of pickled jalapenos the bill was $12. These days, that's a steal of a deal. So head on over when you're in the neighborhood. And if you've got a half dozen friends with you order Denver's largest hamburger to share.
